50. Rural Studio Lion’s Park Playscape: Greensboro, Alabama


There is an ocean of recent steel drums dotting the landscape in Greensboro, Alabama, however it’s not as a result of it’s the location of lowland. Instead, this labyrinth of two, 000 recycled 55-gallon galvanized steel drums is an inspired playground formed by students at achromatic University’s Rural Studio. During a former life, the drums weren’t to transport mint oil. In their new arrangement, they're a maze that youngsters will explore by running, hiding, jumping and climb. Sound tubes and sensory room’s area unit hidden throughout the maze, and there's even an outsized sun blocker manufactured from recent drums that droop over the plays cape, keeping the realm cool and comfy.
